New Product: Modiform Transparent Green PET

JF McKenna are proud to announce that we are now stocking the Modiform transparent green PET horticulture trays. Recycling and recyclable materials are the buzz word in horticutlure right now - and Modiform are ahead of the game with their new PET trays.

Moving away from using traditional polystyrene (PS) materials, Modiform have developed 100% recyclable trays made from PET materials, which are made up of 100% recycled materials.

Transparent PET bottles are the most used materials by consumers, which results in a large amount of waste. Modiform have taken this waste and used it in their new trays.

Following five years of research and consultations, results showed that transparent materials have the highest recycled PET value, but it is not beneficial to have light transparency for the roots. However, transparent green materials limits the light transparency for the roots. Furthermore, customers like seeing the roots of plants.

There are currently 26 different packs available in PET transparent green.

• 100% post-consumer recycled material
• Recyclable through standard kerbside collection systems
• Easily separated by existing infrared detection systems
• Great plant growth, extensively tested
• Consumers can see the plants roots
